Volume I contains one hundred and thirty two colour plates, including facsimiles and folios. Collated complete.Scarce, with the print running only two hundred and fifty copies.A very significant, yet underestimated work, Lyndsay's armorial is both extensive and highly informative, containing numerous different coats of arms and records on knights, nobility, and kings, including mythical figures like Prester John and the legendary Nine Worthies. Volume I contains an introduction, appendices, and the colour plates of the coats of arms themselves, while volume II contains further elaborated information on the particular folios.
