Collated, complete.This work contains Fielding's wartimes letters to his wife, dating from April 15th, 1915 to March 1919. Key moments in history are encountered by the author and relayed to his spouse, such as the Third Battle of the Somme and final advance through Lille and Tournai. The author explains that many of these letters were written 'actually on the battlefield or in the trenches'.Loosely inserted are three pages of typed notes from the publisher.
