Lux Feininger, the youngest son of Julia and Lionel Feininger, studied at the Bauhaus under Albers, Kandinsky, Klee, Moholy-Nagy and Schlemmer. He was a practicing photogr…apher and took up painting in the late 1920s. He had one man shows at the Nierdorf and Julien Levy Galleries in the 1930s and 1940s before beginning a teaching career, first at Sarah Lawrence and then at Harvard and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School. Very good.
