Hardcover. 8vo. Brown cloth with black spine lettering, dust jacket. vi, 250pp. Line drawings. Very good/very good. Jacket a bit edgeworn, rubbed and age toned. A tight and nice first edition in what we call a "well-loved" jacket. From the collection of Adlai E. Stevenson III (1930-2021), U.S. Senator from Illinois -- and for good measure accompanied by a second printing of his wife Nancy's cookbook "More Potpourri": Wide 24mo. Stiff pictorial wrappers, white plastic spiral binding. 124pp. Numerous illustrations. Near fine. "Compiled and published by Adlai's and Nancy's friends so that you may share their way of life." This was a fundraiser for Stevenson's second U.S. senate campaign. Boldly signed and inscribed by her in black ballpoint on inside front wrapper: "Happy cooking / Nancy Stevenson.".
