Front and rear covers each have an adjacent interior spider-web patterned acetate or glassine leaf both of which share some small edge loss and tears mirroring the aforementioned cover chips. Sponsored by the Oklahoma State Travel and Tourist Bureau, Ennis C. Helm, Director. Sketches by Wallace Simpson, Cowboy Artist, and Walker Boone, Oneida Indian Artist. Pink-toned interior leaves feature a month-by-month tabular event lists of which a majority are presented on rectos with illustrations on opposing versos. Two brief one-page essays titled "Indian Dances and Celebrations" and "Frontier Celebrations" are unattributed to a specific author but are generally credited to Oklahoma Federal Writers Project Director Jim Thompson. Only a good copy at best per the cover damage but interior leaves are clean and binding remains firm and still a quite scarce FWP imprint. {Bibliographical reference: September 1941 WPA Writers' Program Publications catalogue - page 37.} Description copyright David Hallinan, Bookseller.
