Condition: Very good. - Quarto, 10-5/8 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide. Softcovers, bound in printed sewn wraps. The edges of the covers are soiled & darkened and the covers are splitting along the top and bottom of the spine. 8 pages. The contents are mostly bright despite some faint minor foxing and the edges of the pages bei…ng darkened. Very good. A petition by members of Dieppe's municipal council and chamber of commerce against the tobacco monopoly supported by the French government arguing that the supposed financial benefit to the government of forty million is not assured and questioning whether a system of taxation might not be preferable.
