Die Stadtbäume im Bezirk Colón sind besonders wichtig geworden, weil sie ein Element sind, das von der derzeit laufenden Renovierung der städtischen Infrastruktur betroffen ist, und weil sie aufgrund des besorgniserregenden phytosanitären Zustands vieler Bäume ein hohes Risiko darstellen, das zu Unfällen durch herabfallende Äste oder das völlige Umstürzen ihrer Strukturen führen kann. Bei diesem Projekt ging es darum, den Gesundheitszustand von Bäumen in drei Gebieten der Stadt Colón zu ermitteln und zu bewerten, um eine angemessene Bewirtschaftung (Fällung, Ersatz, Versetzung oder Beschneidung) zu bestimmen und vorzuschlagen.
