Er gründete das "Archivio di fisiologia". 1899 schrieb er seine Reiseeindrücke nieder "Un fisiologo intorno al mondo".

A tight, attractive first edition of one of the more popular works by this noted Italian physiologist (1856-1932), entirely in Italian, a memoir whose title translates as "Physiologist Around the World: Travel Impressions." Title page bears ownership signature of Italian author Jole Moschini Biaggini (died 1906) and copyright page bears Fano's signature (simply "Fano" in brown ink) at bottom of page. Unusual and scarce.
