Seller: Cameron-Wolfe Booksellers, Taos, NM, U.S.A.
Soft cover. Condition: Good. JWC No.9725. A unique copy of the vocal-piano score of Falla's engaging 1923 opera based on an episode from Cervantes's "Don Quixote". This copy is from the personal library of distinguished Hamburg Opera baritone and noted stage director Heinz Blankenburg (my brother-in-law) - one of his stage-directing copies, endowed throughout with his personal English translations (and also including them on two typewritten pages). Regrettably, he did not sign this particular score as he did with many others in my inventory. 68 pages. CONDITION: The score's spine has been reinforced with library archival hinge tape and there is light shelf-wear to the covers. The VERY GOOD interior pages are clear and uncreased - only marked with the Maestro's text revisions. This rare copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with backing board, for safe storage and transport.
