This publication only sold in the souvenir shop at Obersalzberg has many photographs which were taken before and after WWII as well as during the first years of the war. Eagles Nest built in 1938 for Hitler's 50th birthday, 1834 meters above sea level. On the Obersalzberg, 1,640 feet (500 meters…) above the town (linked by a cable railway), were the chalets of Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, Martin Bormann, and other Nazi leaders, with air-raid shelters, barracks, and various installations. The premises - except for the Kehlsteinhaus - were heavily damaged by an Allied air raid on 25 April 1945. On 4 May, four days after Hitler's suicide in Berlin, retreating SS troops set fire to the villa as Hitler had previously ordered. 64 pages of photographs with captions.
