A cook book prepared by a patent medicine company with the recipes interspersed with advertisements for the patent medicines. About 100 recipes in all claimed to be mostly new with a few old time New England and Southern recipes included. Illustrated with line drawings which are very similar to Maxfield Parrish drawings. First time I have seen a recipe for Oyster Shortcake. Publisher punched hole at top left for ease in hanging in the kitchen (A common practice in old time kitchens).
