Tall 8vo, i-x, 146 pp, catalogue of the author's other works, frontispiece portrait of the author, 39 plates, Book plate of Newport Public Libraries Reference Dept. Stamps to the title page, reverse of frontispiece and reverse of the final plate, beige cloth, top edge gilt. Generally a very good copy.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. First. With an exhaustive summary of the church plate in the Diocese of St. David's. In brown cloth covers, gilt emblem and title to front cover, edges bevelled, small mark to front cover. Spine, faded a little, title in gilt, edges slightly bumped, top edge marked very slightly. Internally NO inscriptions etc, some offsetting, faint foxing throughout, text block edges uncut, tissue guarded portrait frontis, (x), 146 pp, [4] adverts.

x+146pp. with frontispiece of the author and 39 other illustrations. Very clean copy; upper edge gilt; both other edges untrimmed. Titled in gilt on f.cover and spine with decorative coat-of-arms in gilt on f.cover. 3 small spits of dark ink on f.cover; slight rubbing to corners.

The author found that 12 chalices and 6 paten covers dating to the reign of Queen Elizabeth were still in use.
