This is a collection of some 130 poems, and was his first collection to be published since South Carolina State Line in 1980. Among the poems presented are "Melontime", "Edisto Hours", "To a Red-Haired Exorcist", "Two Years At Kitty Hawk", "Rhythm Method", "Boxing Day on Tobago", "The Greatest Man", "War Games", "Sometimes Boys Can See Further", "Carolina Catechism", "Praise God for Grits", and, of course, "Summer Days with Daughter".
