Ethel Margaret Macdonald, née Gladstone, was a leading feminist, suffragist, social campaigner, and founder member of the Women's Labour League. From 1896 she was married to Ramsay Macdonald, but would not see him become the UK's first Labour prime minister, as she died from sepsis in 1911 aged just 41.

Textblock split at pg 232/233 (thin fabric spine notoriously fragile) but paper label on spine is totally intact otherwise. Could be repaired by an expert. Some dust wear to boards, rubbing at edges. A few pages have light foxing, but the majority of pages are clean. This is an original 1910 printing of the fourth book of The Equinox- a compilation of esoteric poetry, fiction, and occult instruction, published biannually between 1909 and 1913 and edited by Aleister Crowley.
