Vintage reference photograph from the 1954 film, showing actor Ronald Reagan brandishing his pistol. Annotations in manuscript ink and pencil on the verso, along with a partial RKO stamp. One of director Allan Dwan's best films, a beautiful, sprawling Technicolor Western that put Barbara Stanwyck back in the saddle. From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969. 7.5 x 9.5 inches, archivally mounted in a white mat measuring 11 x 14 inches. Very Good plus, with small chips on the right corners. Pitts 681.
