Magazines. Twenty-five issues of Great, the periodical issued six times a year by The Photographers' Gallery, London: a complete run of Nos. 33 through 57, Dec. 2000/Jan. 2001 to Dec. 2004/Jan. 2005. The publication served as the guide to their exhibitions, events, talks, print offerings, and books for sale. Each issue featured brief essays by the curators on each of two exhibitions, a portfolio of images by the photographer, and descriptions of related events. Highlights include: Ed van der Elsken, Erwin Wurn, Richard Wentworth, Bertine van Manen, Peter Fraser, E.J. Bellocq, Karlheinz Weinberger, Joel Sternfeld, Frank Breuer, Enrique Mentinides, Stephen Gill, and others. All issues: first editions; texts by Kate Bush and/or Camilla Jackson and others; staple-bound self-wrappers; color and b&w illustrations throughout. Nos. 33-37: 16 pages; 7.5 x 9.75 inches. Nos. 38-46: 40 pages; 6 x 8 inches. Nos. 47-57: 20 pages with gatefold front and back covers; 6.25 x 9.25 inches. All issues are at least Near Fine.
