Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. A VERY RARE 1925 MODERN LIBRARY EDITION WITH DUST JACKET! The Child of Pleasure by Gabriele D'Annunzio. 1925 MODERN LIBRARY / BONI & LIVERIGHT EDITION. Per Toledano the first printing was not identified on the copyright in this edition but book and dust jacket match a… first printing except for the fact that this is a blue leatherette in spine #4 instead of spine #3. Likely printed at same time as the first but during the transition to the #4 spine. The dust jacket has only titles from 1925 and before so this matches a First edition. The book is in VERY GOOD condition with bright gilt on cover and spine. Leatherette binding is tight and solid with only slight wear. Contents clean and bright with previous owners names. GORGEOUS! The dust jacket is GOOD+ with chipping as seen in photos and a old tape repairs but overall in decent condition and very rare for this title. The list of titles on the flaps and rear panel include titles from 1925 but not 1926 indicating a 1925 printing. Now protected in an archival-quality dust jacket protector.
