(The text is fine and unmarked after p.21.) Page block top edge faintly dust-toned. Unclipped dust jacket. No tears or conspicuous damage, with some light local shelf wear (…e.g. to the spine head, to the front top corner), light diagonal crease to back inside flap, and with some surface handling marks. (Now beneath a protective archival cover.) Black cloth with bright gilt titling to the spine. The boards remain clean and sharp. A complete first edition, in a rare unclipped dust jacket. Translated by Allan Blunden. Preface by Patrick Carnegy.
