Some sunning to spine and upper and outer parts of the boards. Bumping and chipping to corners, and some marking and wear to the spine. Internally clean and bright with wonderful illustrations throughout and gorgeous cartographic endpapers designed by Sadolin. Good. A delightful history and exploration of one of London's most iconic parks.

Condition: There is some wear to the cover, and the spine surface has faded a little. The book is cocked from being read, and there is a gift inscription to the title page (dated 1943). Every book is sent in a rigid cardboard posting box. Size: 22 cm x 14.5 Cm.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original quarter grey cloth, paper title label to the spine, lightly marbled fuchsia pink paper covered boards, green and white end paper plans. 8vo. 9'' x 6''. Contains (viii)-2, 165 pp with lovely monochrome illustrations throughout. Couple of margins with light pencil ticks, rubbing to the front corners, light foxing to the cloth spine, no dust wrapper.
