illustration of frogs (illustrator). pp. 4. 4to. A four-page piece of sheet music with a charming front cover. Front cover measures 30 x 23 cms with two-colour illustration by Doris and George Hauman depicting a frog on a lily pad conducting four frog musicians (playing drum, flute, saxophone and banjo), while a sixth fog looks on. The Haumans are best known for illustrating what is perhaps the most popular edition of 'The Little Engine That Could'. The two pages of music are written for children, in the key of D Major. The last (back) page contains an advertisment for music published by the Boston Music Company in its 'Educational series of Teaching Pieces'. The stiff card covers ahow light wear and a touch of soiling. There are some pencil markings to the music pages (easily erased). Would look very nice framed.
