    Hardcover. Condition: Good. Oblong folio with 50 lithographs by Godefroy Englemann all Biblical designs after Raphael. Undated circa 1830's. Occasional foxing primarily at page margins. Also margin stains, tears & nicks. Light soiling of a some prints. Engelmann's was of France - German origin & born in Mulhouse France on 17th August 1788. Where he died on 24th of April 1839. He is largely credited with bringing lithography to France and late on commercializing chromolithography. Green mo covers with gilt decoration are scuffed stained & marked. Spine is nicked scuffed at top edges. Some tissue guards present & others not. Rare production with Bookplate of Carton Library pasted to front pastedown.
