A eulogy honoring Emily Rodgers Dicken (1889-1930), an American woman, together with a handwritten letter signed by her. The eulogy commends Emily's character and offers a brief chronology of the serious chronic illness that tragically cut her life short. The eulogy mentions Clinton, possibly Emily's husband, and Jim, Emily's son. A small (2 1/4" x 3") black-and-white photograph of Emily and Jim is tipped in on the inside of the front cover. The name of the eulogy's author is not stated. Emily's letter is addressed to Marian. In her letter, Emily writes to Marian about a number of subjects and begins with an apologetic tone as Marian had apparently tried to meet with Emily but the latter was away.
