Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. A bright and attractive example of the popular farewell ballad "Adios, Au Revoir, Auf Wiedersehen," with lyrics by Jack Elliott and music by celebrated conductor, arranger, and composer George Cates. Issued following the song's introduction on The Lawrence Welk Television Show, this edition features a full-color portrait of Lawrence Welk on the front cover and reflects the enduring popularity of easy-listening television entertainment during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Binding remains sound, and the music opens and lies flat for performance. Overall an attractive, well-preserved copy. Although Lawrence Welk did not write the song, his television program served as one of the most influential promotional platforms in American popular music during the 1950s-70s. Sheet music issued "As Featured on the Lawrence Welk T.V. Show" captures an era when weekly television appearances could transform a new composition into a national standard. The publisher's rear catalog, devoted almost entirely to Lawrence Welk performers and instructional folios, provides an appealing snapshot of the Welk musical empire at its commercial peak.…
