Add to basketPaperback small quarto, very good condition, black & white text-photos & drawings, faint foxing spine, minor edgewear, sticker mark front cover. 230 pp. A collection of papers published as a tribute to the life and research work of the late Professor Neil William George Macintosh (Department of Anatomy, University of Sydney). He… was Australia's leading physical anthropologist, particularly for studies of Aboriginal prehistory and crania. Macintosh initially asked Professor A. P. Elkin to accept him as a candidate for the post-graduate Diploma in Anthropology. They became friends which lasted until Macintosh's death, 33 years later. One paper is a detailed biography of Macintosh by A. P. Elkin, and another paper is a biography of his close research collaborator Stanley Larnach. (Initially published over 3 issues of the journal 'Archaeology and Physical Anthropology in Oceania', and here reprinted as one volume.).
