Small tears and chipping on front cover; dark stain on lower front cover; back has water stain and paper appears "ripply" due to moisture. Overall a good copy for the age. The film was one of the first Hollywood productions to utilize the Technicolor three-strip camera process, and the dogfight scenes were an impressive example of movie production at the time. Jackie Cooper, at the age of nine, also became the youngest person to earn an Academy Award nomination for, ?Best Actor in a leading role.? The films were a precursor to the ?Little Rascals? series. Overall, this book is in poor condition. This book has been well-read. Spine and pages are loose, but all 235 are present. A former owner?s signature appears faintly on the slightly water-stained inside front cover. There are occasional other water stains. Otherwise, no marks were found. There are many captioned photos of Jackie Cooper as a young boy on and off the set scattered throughout the book. Inside front cover has a faint signature of the original 1933 owner, adds no value.
