One of the special seminars held twice weekly throughout the term as a part of the South Asia Summer Program dealt with Problems of Rural Development in India and Pakistan. This seminar, under the chairmanship of Professor Harry M. Rauler, Jr., of the Department of Anthropology, was also inaugurated by the symposium Like the symposium, it attracted a wide, multidisciplinary audience and was addressed by a similarly diverse series of guest lecturers." ---- from the Introduction.…
