Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 7th Edition. 8vo, pp286 with illustrations by the author throughout Hand-coloured for this edition by Richard Beards, Hardcover in slipcase issued with dust jacket. Yellow slipcase in very good condition with strip of sunning to front edge and a few small marks. Red buckram binding with gilt titles and black and gilt designs to spine and front board in near fine condition. Inside in fine and unread condition. An excellent, slightly scarcer red cloth, Folio Society Edition of this book made up of five different books by Edward Lear: A Book of Nonsense (1846); Nonsense Songs, Stories, Botany and Alphabets (1871); More Nonsense, Pictures, Rhymes, Botany Etc (1872); Laughable Lyrics, A Fourth Book of Nonsense Poems, Songs, Botany, Music, etc (1877) and Nonsense Songs and Stories (1895).
