Contact seller5-star seller"Cambridge Edition" (as stated upon spine and title page) - this being a complete edition of Burns' poems but still issued as a single volume within a larger poetry set. [i-ii], [frontispiece portrait], [pictorial title leaf], iii-lxvi, 1-397, [1] pages. Hardcover: H 21.25cm x L 15.25cm. Half-leather binding - leather spine and…marbled paper boards with leather corners; spine decorated with five slightly raised bands with gilt lettered maroon title label and brown edition label; gilt tooling to the remaining four compartments. Some scuffing to spine with surface abrasion near head; boards' leather corners worn. Gilt top edge. Deckle fore-edge; some toning/foxing to fore-edge and bottom edge. Marbled endpapers (matching the boards' marbling). Some leaves with slight foxing/soiling at margins; group of leaves towards book's center have creased/curled top fore-edge corners with one leaf corner detached at fold-line. Binding is firm. Double-column text. Still a handsome edition of Burns' poetry.
