Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Magnificent Volume in Green Cloth with Gilt Emboss of his famous Steam Hammer at work. This is the comprehensive Autobiography of the Victorian Engineer and his many contributions to the Industrial Revolution. 450 pages. Includes the most detailed and beautiful etched illustrations of his works and theories. A rare item in original binding, the second (blank) flyleaf has been removed and there is some slight water staining along the top edges of the text pages. The binding is , fine apart from a couple of minor rub marks on the spine.
