Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. Half tan morocco over tan marbled boards and eps, TEG, gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Presentation copy inscribed to the ffep in pencil : "To our friend M. L. Pipes from Vera Simpson and W. T. Burney. " Judge Martin L . PIpes was a prominent Oregon attorney, a justice on the Oregon Supreme Court, and a patron of literature. Pipes moved to Oregon around the same time as Simpson. Vera Simpson was a family member of Simpson, probably his daughter, Zilla Vera. Burney was a writer who wrote the preface. The frontis portrait is detached, laid in, else near fine condition.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 308 pages; Signed by Author.
