Binding tight, pages may be slightly tanned but are very clean, previous ownership stickers on inside front cover are the only markings. 259 pages. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. (Signed by James Vaughter, Lt. Col. USAF - one of the stories included is about him). The book is in Very Good condition and has a Good dust jacket. The front cover of thebook has a light outward bow to it. There is some light bumping and edge wear to the spine ends of the book cover. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has rubbing, edge wear, and several small edge tears, a thin strip of the front joint has a thin, rubbed tear. The photos on the dust jacket cover have rubbing and light fading. There is an inscription by Lt. Col. James Vaughter on the front pastedown page dated 3-13-89. "Born in Byers, Texas May 22, 1918, passed away in Sacramento, January 9, 2010 at the age of 91 years. Survived by his son, Michael D. Vaughter of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Amy and Chad and great grandson, Ethan. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Betz Christensen Vaughter. Mr. Vaughter was the son of Dr. Hiram and Ada Vaughter. He was of a family of three brothers and two sisters. He entered the Air Force as an Aviation Cadet in 1940 during which time he was in combat in the European Theater Eighth Air Force and was a prisoner of war from 1943 to 1945.
