The base of the spine shows a touch of wear from sitting on the bookshelf. The author was a seasoned frontier soldier and his writings represent a glimpse of the West while it was still untamed. The book is an interesting and informative contribution to the literature of westward expansion. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. A very nice copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
