Paperback. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Presumed First USA Edition. Featuring the novel 'The Invisible Death' by Victor Rousseau. Presumed First USA Edition, October 1930 but the 20 cent price on the foot of the spine states 'In Canada.' and I can't read any more as the rest is chipped/missing at that point. Period Pulp magazine. In the original publisher's pictorial paper covers. Some wear, corner creasing and lots of tears/chipping to the EDGES of the covers, front and back, but not much loss. These tears are now reinforced internally with clear archive tape and some edge tinting to improve the look. The spine has some edge wear, and some small loss to the head/tail of the spine - but the blue titling is clear and near complete. Overall the covers are near complete and sound. Fair/Good Minus. Internally the paper/text block/page fore-edges is/are tanning uniformly - as usual with this type of pulp paper. The first 2 pages have a large circular tear where paper has been torn out - losing the adverts and part of the Contents page. Otherwise clean and tight inside with NO Inscriptions or major marks. 136 pages + 8 pages b/w adverts. Rear cover is a coloured Advert for Camels. Cover art by H. W. Wessolowski. Illustrated inside in b/w by various artists. Contents include 'The Invisible Death' a Complete Novelette by Victor Rousseau. 'Stolen Brains' by Captain S. P. Meek. 'Prisoners of the Electron' a novelette by Robert H. Leitfred. 'Jetta of the Lowlands' (Part 2 of 3) a serial by Ray Cummings. ' An Extra Man' a short story by Jackson Gee, etc. A shame about the missing portion of the first 2 pages, (looks as if torn out to light a cigarette or fire perhaps? ). But this magazine is quite scarce in this ORIGINAL FORM and all other contents stories, etc, are complete. Volume 4 Number 1. 1930 See Images. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall.
