Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Undated and no edition remarks, presumed first edition. This has had the remains of a paper spine removed, the ghost remaining on the covers. The boards show moderate scuffing including the bumped corners with loss of surface material, lost spine head and tail. The pictorial plate to the fr…ont is very badly scuffed with only about a half remaining. Most of the spine is still intact, including the lettering, with large (to 6.5cm) edge tears towards the tail. Small inscription to front paste-down and price in pencil to front end paper. The leaves are holding together well with some gutter gaps and pulling apart from the glue at the gutter (photo 4). Most of the pages show light to moderate staining or soiling, including the faint remains of an erased pencil scribble on one page (photo 3). Measures 17.6 x 11.6 x 1.0cm. Unpaginated.

About half the original spine remains. The boards show a strip where the paper spine was removed, heavy scuffing to the corners with loss of surface material, modera…te staining/soiling. There are gutter gaps but the leaves are still holding together fairly well. An 11mm tear to the bottom edge of the last pictorial page. The illustrated paste-downs and end papers are not cracked. Most of the pages show light staining or soiling. Remains of erased pencil price on front end paper. No folds or creases. Measures 17.6 x 11.6 x 1.0cm. Unpaginated.
