Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Hardcovers. 12 volume set (complete). Maroon Leather spines and corners. Blue marbled paper over boards. Raised cords and gold lettering and decorations on the spines. Top edges gilt. An attractive set. Each volume measures 4.5 x 7 inches. The whole set sits on 10.5 inches of shelf space. The set… consists of 2 volumes of Joseph Andrews; 4 volumes of Tom Jones; 3 volumes of Amelia; Jonathan Wild; and 2 volumes of Miscellanies. Most of the volumes show a bit of wear at the front hinge - where the shine of the leather has worn off. Volume 6 is missing a pea sized chip at the crown of the spine. Volume 4 has rubbing on 2 of the raised cords. Overall the leather is a bit dry, but remains attractive and is not yet brittle or likely to flake. A surprisingly scarce set. Extra shipping will be required to ship the complete set. Please email with questions or to request photos.
