Pages have occasional marks throughout but illustrations are all intact. Edges are soiled and tanned. The crazed designed end-papers are slightly tanned around the edges. The half-title page is tanned but has the signature in pencil of (Sir) "Muirhead Bone,1910", the famous Scottish etcher, watercolourist and War artist, who probably used this work in his studies of horse anatomy, in his Glasgow series, for example. A very interesting study.
