Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Alfred Skrenda (illustrator). Winifred Van Duzer. Our Dancing Daughters. NY: Grosset & Dunlap, 1928, photoplay edition, 211 pp., publisher's catalog (ix). *** This book was published in conjunction with the synchronized sound film (early talkie) of the same name release by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1928. From the title page - Based On The Photoplay By Josephine Lovett Novelized By Winifred Van Duzer Author Of The Good Bad Girl Golden Roads, Etc. It starred Joan Crawford, John Mack Brown, Dorothy Sebastian, and Anita Page. The film highlights the changing moral landscape in America as two women, known as flappers at that time, fiercely vie for the hand of a young rich man. Too much money and too much free time, a novelty for almost all Americans, made this an entertaining movie. The film propelled Crawford's young career to star status. With eight (8) movie stills. The color illustrated dust jacket by Alfred Skrenda (not price clipped) is in a clear protective cover. This book is in my inventory and the images are of this particular item. *** Orange cloth boards with decorative title box on front cover, black lettering on spine. Light soil and shelf wear. Contents are clean and complete in a solid binding. Light smear at top of front end paper from pencil erasure. The jacket has light soil, spotting on spine, light wear at spine ends, corners, and some edges. Book and jacket both VG+ condition. *** 7.75 inches tall by 5.25 inches.
