It is arranged as a Bibliography o…f first publications, and all items not contained in the Library are indicated by a star. The catalogue is divided as follows: 1. Portraits, Water Colors, Etchings, Manuscripts and Drawings; 2. First Editions in book form and First Appearances in periodicals and newspapers, including posthumous publications; 3. Thackeray's writings in a. Fraser's Magazine, b. Punch, c. The Cornhill Magazine; 4. Chronological Index; 5. Thackerayana, consisting of numerous articles on Thackeray and his writings. Many of the publications in the United States are first editions of the work and precede the English edition of the same, and in some instances the first American editions differ from the English edition. All such American publications I have attempted to include. An ex-library copy with some sticker residue on the spine, stamps and marks including 'withdrawn' stamp n front endpapers, numbers on contents page, stamp on rear pastedown and top edge.
