Condition: Sehr gut. Oblong Octavo (14.6 cm wide x 11.8 cm high). 40 pages with partial perforation for detaching of Luncheon- and Dinner-Tickets. Hardcover / Original Royal Blue Publisher's cloth with gilt lettering on cover and pencil-satchet attached to the binding. Some minor staining to the binding only. Overall in very good condition with only minor signs of wear. With the pencil included and the original elastic ribbon which allows the booklet to be closed. Wonderful example of the wealth of the Coronation-Event at the end of the Victorian and the beginning of the Edwardian Age (printed ticket-books for 4 attendees seem very luxurious indeed). Five tickets were used for Dinner at the Belgravia and each remaining stub was signed / monogrammed by Colonel F.M.Wardrop. The Guests of the Coronation as printed in this Luncheon and Dinner-Stub-Book on the occasion of the Coronation of Edward VII were: 1. Colonel F.M. Wardrop, C.B. British Army officer who served as a Military Attaché, notably at the British Embassy in Vienna. Records indicate he held this position in the early 1900s, with reports of him completing his service period around 19001909. He was previously a Major and served in the Egyptian war of 1882 2. General of the Cavalry Johann v. Belnay Austro-Hungarian military officer, specifically a Generalmajor (GM). Records indicate he received a retirement designation in 1909 and a title in 1910, appearing in lists of K.u.K. (Kaiserliche und Königliche) generals from that era. 3. Lieutenant-Colonel Ludwig Koch 4. Captain Adalbert Guilleaume Austro-Hungarian. Imperial and Royal Hussar Regiment No. 12. Edward VII).
