Paperback. Condition: Good. 'Loved it! I found myself wishing Clove Lore was a real place so I could live there!' Reader ReviewCan she write her perfect love story?Austen Archer is on her dream solo bookselling holiday, the new 'borrower' at the Borrow-A-Bookshop in Devon's Clove Lore. While she has always loved poetry, her words have dried up since being fired by her last boss, bestselling author, Callista Flyte, a year ago.Austen distracts herself with the Borrow-A-Bookshop, as well as her flirty online exchanges with an anonymous Parisian bookseller. Hiding from the world, Austen doesn't notice that wedding planner, Patti, is falling for her and is too afraid to admit that she feels the chemistry too.But as Patti and Austen grow closer, culminating in a magical day at the wildflower meadow, can Clove Lore work its customary magic and bring the two together? And will Austen find the confidence to risk her heart and write again?Readers are falling for Love Letters at the Borrow A Bookshop:'By far one of my favourite books I've read this year I loved every minute.' Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872-1906) was a seminal American poet of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His first collection of poetry, Oak and Ivy, was published in 1892 and attracted the attention of James Whitcomb Riley, the popular Hoosier Poet. His second book, Majors and Minors (1895) brought him national fame and the patronage of William Dean Howells, the novelist and critic and editor of Harper's Weekly. He gained national recognition for his 1896 Lyrics of a Lowly Life, one poem in the collection being Ode to Ethiopia. He wrote a dozen books of poetry, four books of short stories, five novels, and a play. His essays and poems were published widely in the leading journals of the day. His work appeared in Harper's Weekly, the Saturday Evening Post, the Denver Post, Current Literature and a number of other publications. Dunbar's work is known for its colourful language and use of dialect, and a conversational tone, with a brilliant rhetorical structure. Amongst his other works are: The Uncalled (1896), The Strength of Gideon and Other Stories (1900), The Sport of the Gods (1902) and The Heart of Happy Hollow (1904). …

Paperback. Condition: Good. The effects of stress on our health can lead to devastating long term illnesses such as adrenal fatigue and chronic fatigue syndrome. Having helped people for 15 years to recover from these illnesses, Jo Dunbar-Lane passes on her knowledge and experience in this accessible book. In Part One, the author outlines how stress affects your body systems, and shows the reader how adrenal fatigue, reduced immunity, disrupted hormones, poor digestion and low thyroid function amongst many other symptoms, can be caused by long term stress. Part Two offers clear guidelines for recovery, including advice about diet and blood sugar control, dealing with candida, restoring the immune system, rebalancing hormones, restoring the adrenal glands and energy using lifestyle changes, herbal medicine and nutritional supplements. In Part Three, Jo uses her experience with thousands of patients to offer practical tips on how to adjust your life so that you stay well. …

Paperback. Condition: Good. Love doesn't break us; it makes us whole, my nana used to say. However, one minute, my world is set on fire, literally. The next, I am raising a six-year-old as a single mom without a clear path ahead of us. No place to live. No job. No money.I'm returning to Sterling Falls to claim what's mine, then there will be no looking back on this beloved small town, a place I consider a handful of sand in the hourglass of my life. Then again, Clay Sylver has shaken up that ancient time clock. The silver fox in his forties is a bit cocky, but solid in every way that matters. He loves his siblings. He works hard. He owns an honest business. Honest, the emphasis here. He also suffers from damsel-in-distress syndrome with a savior complex for lost causes, like stray animals and down-and-out women. And I have a secret crush on him. When I see Clay stranded on the side of the road one dark, stormy night, I stop to offer assistance. Burning with fever, Clay is sick, and my mom-instinct kicks in to give him comfort. That decision throws me off course again. While my past lurks everywhere, I find myself falling in love with Sterling Falls once more and falling harder for the man giving my son and me a safe haven.Love is a risk, according to Clay, but he's slowly rescuing my heart while I'm saving his.…

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Now you have your puppy, the clock is ticking and you need to meet three more Developmental Deadlines before your puppy is five months old. 4th Developmental Deadline - Socializing Your Puppy to People Your Most Urgent Priority is to socialize your puppy to a wide variety of people, especially children, men, and strangers, before he is twelve weeks old. Well-socialized puppies grow up to be wonderful companions, whereas antisocial dogs are difficult, time-consuming, and potentially dangerous. As a rule of thumb, your puppy needs to meet at least one hundred people before he is three months old. Since your puppy is still too young to venture out to dog parks and sidewalks, you'll need to start inviting people to your home right away. 5th Developmental Deadline - Teaching Bite Inhibition Your Most Important Priority is that your puppy learns to inhibit the force of his bites and develop a soft mouth; before he is eighteen weeks old. Whenever a dog bites a person, or fights with another dog, the single most important prognostic factor is the degree of bite inhibition and hence, the likelihood and seriousness of injury. Accidents happen. Someone may tread on the dog's paw, or a child may trip over the dog while he's gnawing a bone. A dog may snap and lunge at a person when hurt or frightened, but if the dog has well-established bite inhibition, it is unlikely the dog's teeth will puncture, or even touch the skin. 6th Developmental Deadline - Continuing Socialization in The World at Large The Most Enjoyable Priority of dog ownership is to introduce your well-socialized puppy to the world at large. Your dog will only remain sociable and confident if he continues to meet and greet at least three unfamiliar people and three unfamiliar dogs every day. Meeting the same people and dogs over and over is not sufficient. Your dog needs to practice meeting, greeting, and getting along with strangers, not simply getting along with old friends. Regular walks with your dog are as essential as they are enjoyable.…
