Paperback is in fair condition, pages are clean without notes or highlighting, some shelf-life wear is noticeable on the cover, especially the back cover which has considerable residue. Jerzy Duda-Gracz (20 March 1941 - 5 November 2004) was a prominent Polish painter and graphic artist, born in Czestochowa and known for his expressive style that often explores social and existential themes within figurative art. He studied at the Akademia Sztuk Pieknych in Kraków and worked as a teacher and professor at art academies in Poland. His oeuvre includes portraits, landscapes and religious cycles, including the Golgota Jasnogórska series, which he created around 2000 to 2001 for the Kaplica Matki Bozej on Jasna Góra. Duda-Gracz's painting is characterised by a powerful combination of symbolism, the human figure and cultural reflection, and he is considered one of the most influential Polish artists of his generation.
