First Edition
Condition: Near Fine. First edition (hardback). A portfolio (41cm x 30cm), with circa 120 pages, and illustrated throughout in black & white and colour. Original printed wrappers, housed in a cardstock box and a card slipcase. The book and the box are in very good condition; the slipcase is lightly rubbed. "A 1200 exemplaires numerotes ou nominatifs". A monumental production, issued for the Fifth International Congress on Blood Transfusion, held in Paris between 13 and 19 September, 1954. This appears to be one of the "nominatif" copies, as the page following the title page has the following printed comment: "Exemplaire imprime en l'honneur de Mary Watson, M. B. Cu. B., F. F. A. R. C. S.
