Condition: A near fine, bright copy. First edition. First edition. Sarah Jane Corson Downs (1822-1891), was President of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union of New Jersey for ten years, and in 1887 she endorsed woman suffrage at its annual meeting. Chapters include: "Marriage as a Fine Art," "Co-education of Boys and Girls," "Courtesy Towards Women," "How Women Should Care for Health," "Woman's Co-Operative Union," "How a Woman Can Earn a Living," etc.
