The young aviator Bill Bolton and his father are neighbors now of Dorothy and her father, and after Bill rescues her when he sailboat capsizes, he agrees to give her flying lessons. In addition to learning to fly, Bill and Dorothy track down a gang of bank robbers. Although these books were supposedly written by Noel Sainsbury's wife Dorothy, he was actually the author who "made Bill Bolton famous" as the main character from another one of his series. Comment in this book that Dorothy was named for Sainsbury's wife. 249 pp.plus 3 pp publisher's ads . Good condition in tan tweed patterned boards with black lettering (usual toning to the pages, corners slightly bumped, previous owner's name), no dust jacket.
