Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Large 8vo (230 x 140 mm.), publisher's paper-covered boards, untrimmed. Pp.Vol. I: l (fifty), 5-414, [4](catalogue & instructions to binder), with a total of 29 plates, most folding, including six maps coloured in outline. Pp. Vol. II: 560, with 5 plates (natural history), giving a total of 34 plates, the 13 plates for the Drawing section gathered at the back of Vol. I. The boards are worn, with some loss of paper from boards and spine of first volume, but the bindings quite firm. A few of the plates are browned or worn on the edges or the folds without any serious damage. The lower right corner of the rear endpaper in volume II is missing - a paper flaw rather than a tear, and there is minor staining to the leading edge of the front free endpaper. There are a few minor marks/dustiness here and there, but in general a good, clean, unsophisticated set.
