The book is in good condition with minor shelf-wea…r to the extremities of the cover, the surface of the cloth is lifting in a few small areas. There is a dedication to the front paste down. The front hinge is cracked and the binding is slightly slack. There is light tanning and minor marking to the end papers and light tanning to the half title and reverse of the fold-out map. There is quite heavy foxing to the fore edge and light foxing scattered throughout the book. F. De Haenan (illustrator).
