No dust jacket. 479 pp., with numerous illustrations in colour and black and white, those in colour have tissue guards, and a fold-out black and white map to end. The book is in good condition with minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover, the surface of the cloth is lifting in a few small areas. There is a dedication to the front paste down. The front hinge is cracked and the binding is slightly slack. There is light tanning and minor marking to the end papers and light tanning to the half title and reverse of the fold-out map. There is quite heavy foxing to the fore edge and light foxing scattered throughout the book.
