1st edition. Unpaginated, though 32 pp. 19 drawings: 9 Cowboy and 10 Indian. 8vo. 9-1/2" x 6-1/2" One of the first print appearances of Thompson, who spent much of his early adult life in Oklahoma, and who was subsequently to be recognized by many as "the Dean of American Noir novelists". [Taylor]. Wrappers severely chipped & detached. Textblock - ex-lib, with small stamp to top edge of 'January' page [no other markings], otherwise VG. Printed pictorial orange paper wrappers, stapled. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve.
