Primera edición comentada por Saraceno de las obras del médico griego Dioscórides; donde entre otras cosas estudia las propiedades médicas de las plantas, siendo el primer tratado serio, y libre de supersticiones, sobre botánica y farmacología. Impresión a dos columnas, con el texto latino a la izquierda y el griego a la derecha; capitulares y cabeceras grabadas sobre madera. Brunet: Edition la meilleure que l'on eût encore donnée de Dioscorides. Ejemplar con mancha de humedad, más acusada en la mitad inferior de la portada; sello y ex-libris de anterior propietario al vuelto de la misma. Adams, D-658; Brunet, II-734. Piel del siglo XVII, con la lomera restaurada con injerto de piel nueva, nervios, tejuelos y adornos dorados, hilo dorado en ambas tapas.
