Dickie has won the Sankey Championship, the ABU Spectacular, the 1982 Lea Championship and two other major river championships; the 1983 Home International, the King of Clubs, and the Bass Championships in Ireland and in his last seven recent festivals in Ireland he has been in the prize money in every one. Obviously, with this record, Dickie is rightfully regarded as one of the best pole anglers in the country and in this book he unselfishly passes on his expertise."
