Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Near fine. First Edition (?). 16mo, 260pp. A crisp, clean, near fine copy in contemporary (or slightly later) 3/4 polished light brown calf over marbled boards. Contemporary bookplate on the front paste-down. Corners gently rounded, and the leather somewhat dried, but the black morocco spine label and gilt…remain bright. Fresh and clean internally. Surprisingly scarce volume filled with lyrics by the English composer and songwriter. Dibdin's brother was similarly talented, as was his son, and his first cousin was Thomas Frognall Dibdin, the noted English bibliographer and book collector. Though there are a healthy number of copies in OCLC, we note no recent auction records for this title.
